Kelco, a 100% owned Australia company, manufacture high quality,
heavy duty, flow and float switches.

KELCO Q
series Heavy Duty high quality Cable Float Switches. These switches do not use mercury or lead in their construction and are therefore environmentally friendly. Specifically designed for use in effluent and waste water applications, these rugged 3 wire switches consist of a strong polypropylene float moulded directly onto tough rubber clad cable Available in a variety of cable lengths from 1 to 30 metres, our Float Switches are built to stand the harshest industrial environments and are rated to handle up to 21 Amps at 250 volts AC.

KELCO MF20
The MF20 is a very simple and reliable mechanical flow switch that can detect extremely low flows; the switch can detect either continuous or pulsed flows. Typical applications include monitoring chemical metering pumps to ensure they are delivering flow, in water treatment, cooling towers and in a multitude of industrial processes. The MF20 flow switch gives a simple on or off response to liquid flow. There are no metal parts in contact with liquids within the switch, so the MF20 is ideal for use in aggressive media such as acids and alkalis and many chemical solutions.

KELCO L26 Level Switches, specifically for tank liquid level control. Non corrosive, can be used in chemical tanks, monitoring effluent levels, and level control in water systems. The switches can be fitted and removed through an external 25mm socket in any tank wall.

KELCO non metal paddle Flow switches. These switches overcame most of the failings of conventional metal switches and were quickly accepted as solving many of the problems which had plagued pump and irrigation engineers for years. These switches are now widely used in applications as diverse as salt and fresh water aqua culture, super pure water systems and for loss of flow protection of bore hole and agricultural pumps. There are now four versions of this flow switch available, from the basic F25 series, to an F26 H/D series, to the F27 time delay series and the F30 pressure control series, detailed below.

KELCO F27 time delay flow switches are paddle switches with built-in digital timers that override the normally off state of the flow switch and allow a pump to start in spite of an initial lack of flow. They also include an adjustable run-on timer that lets a pump ignore minor flow interruptions while still being fully protected against running dry. When first powered up the F27 ignores the initial lack of flow and allows a pump under its control to run for up to 3 minutes. At the end of the set time the F27 will shut down the pump if there is no flow or allow it to run on if flow has been established.

KELCO F30 Pump Controller , a versatile pump controller that integrates flow and pressure. the F30 brings the advantages of constant flow and dry run protection to traditional pressure systems.

DESCRIPTION
The F30 Pump Controller is a digital electronic flow switch that monitors both flow and pressure. When included in a pressure system the F30 vastly improves overall performance and gives the benefit of both constant flow and dry run protection. Pressure systems normally use pumps with steeply varying pressures not because this gives the user any advantage but simply because a high differential pressure is require to operate the pressure witch that normally controls such pumps. The user sees the effect as fluctuations in pressure at the tap. If loss of prime occurs a pump controlled by a pressure switch will run dry and invariably sustain damage. The F30 Pump Controller offers a far better approach. The pump starts on flow as soon as there is a modest demand. When demand ceases the F30 continues to run the pump for a settable length of time sufficient to recharge the system's air cell. Such a system allows the selection of a pump that has a flat curve and delivers a steady constant pressure over widely varying flows. An air cell with a very small draw off can be used in such a system. There only has to be sufficient stored pressure to re-actuate the F30 controller the next time there is a demand. With the F30 system the external pressure witch is set to start the pump at a pressure only slightly higher than the system's static pressure. If the demand is too low to actuate the F30’s paddle, or if for any reason the pressure falls, eventually the pressure switch will loose and signal the F30 to start the pump. The F30 then runs the pump for a preset time, recharges the air cell, switches off the pump and reverts to standby mode.

KELCO trailing wire flow switches. These switches use a stainless steel trailing wire instead of a conventional paddle. They are used for sensing flow from an open ended pipe, or even product along a conveyor belt. They are suitable for slurry and mining applications, or where the flow is very high.

KELCO P25 corrosion resistant inline Flow switches. These switches can detect very low flows, yet still have a low head loss on high flows. The switch is made from glass reinforced polypropylene, with neoprene o-rings. Can be supplied in sizes from 15mm through to 40mm.

KELCO Super Sensitive Flow Switches, specifically for controlling pressure boosting pumps in gravity fed hot water systems. These extremely sensitive Flow Switches were quickly accepted by the pump industry and are widely used in a great variety of control situations, where detection of low flows is required. Special versions of these switches are capable of detecting intermittent flows as low as 0.5 L per hour.
